I've started the "Way of the Tiger" quest in Arindale, and it led me to the Test thingy under the Hall of Lords.
However, no matter what I try, I can't get around the 4th test, the chamber with the fire sprouts. Can anyone help me out?
Thanks in advance,
Esterlan.

run around the floor and AVOID the sigils on the floor because they cause monsters to spawn. By running around the monsters that show up will be killed or damaged by the mages casting fireballs on the ledge above. Once the monsters are dead, an elevator on the left side should take u up.

What elevator ??????
I'm in the same room but when I walk on the signs on the floor there aren't any more enemys showing up. Even though I´ve killed everyone, including the wizard. Maybe that´s a bug that needs to be fixed.

I just got there.
They spawn even if I don't touch those sigilis.

Yes, standing on the sigils is not related to spawning. The key here is perseverence. Kill until no more enemies spawn. If you have plenty of health pots, you should be able to endure. In addition to the tips given before, also, target individual enemies as much as possible. That way you can make kills more quickly, cutting down on the total damage you take.
If you just can't beat this area, you might want to reset you settings to easy difficulty and easy spawn. It will make a difference.

Also there is a bug where if you save in the last room the lifts will not come down, so you will have to revert to an earlier save

The last trial is extremely lame, and, given how the other trials work, it's probably buggy. But here's a trick you can use in it and in the other trials: when you see a ghost start to materialize in, if you stand right where it's supposed to appear, then it won't show up. So in the last trial you can make it so only two ghosts appear in each wave, although by standing around long enough to prevent a ghost from appearing, you'll probably get tagged by the mage.
Btw, here and elsewhere, when I've tried adjusting the difficulty settings, I haven't really noticed a difference. Has anybody else?

Definite Change
I started playing on the normal/normal settings until I reached level 5.
I hadn't entered Fargrove yet. I changed the difficulty level to the
hard/more setting and noticed a definite difference. I was playing
without any patches at that time. That was problably the only time
that a bow had any use. I moved from the ruins by Simon to the
shacks and in that move was when I noticed the increase in encounters.
That was when the Giant Spiders started showing up and the wolf packs
increased in size. I kept moving back and forth spending the nights at
the shacks which are safer and the days at the ruins by Simon. I gained
two more levels this way and set about climbing the mountains as that
was where all the monsters seemed to be coming from.
I gained a fairly quick two more levels up on top and fought Trolls, and
the Goblins ballista. The encounters were even heavier up there. I had
reached level 9 and then entered Fargrove. I gained at least a level
in town because all you had to do was just pick a corner and stand
around and I chose the area around the Inn.
I really noticed a difference after having left Fargove as I was getting
mugged by as many as 30 enemies at once. I started towards Arindale
after completing the quest with Rianne. I didn't want to battle all the
back to Fargrove so I saved and set the game to normal/normal and
ran back to town. I picked up my Paladin quest and then reset the
game to hard/more encounters.
There is definitely a difference. Now my fans are just mobbing me every
time I leave town. There are wolf packs of at least a dozen, poison
snakes, scorpions and problably goblins all trying to get my autograph at
once. That is a normal encounter because now you add in Barrowgrim's
soldiers, Drey elves and magicians joining the fray.
I will set the game back to normal/normal when ever I want to get to
someplace and just out run all of my friends and reset it back to the
hard/more setting when I am near someplace where I will be able to
rest and renew my spells.
Oh damn, another troll and where the heck did that pair of dragons
come from. I could have sworn I was well north of their territory.
I'm still wondering why they put the archery skill in this game because
you can't hit anything no matter what you dexterity, agility and how
many points you have put in the archery skill. I currently have 17 in
it and still miss 90% of the time. They found another way to ruin my
fun by screwing up archery with the rest of the game.
Well that's just another day in the life of
Kel

Kel, I don't know why you miss so much. My stats aren't nearly what yours are and I only have 8 in Archery, yet I would say I hit things with my bow at least 90% of the time. Probably more like 95% +. Very strange. I recall another post by someone whom I've now forgotten that said they went to the Arena in Skulldoon right off the bat and fought the minotaur till they had obscene levels - like 100 in strike and such - yet that person also complained that when he finally left Skulldoon, he was missing more than he was hitting. I wonder if there is supposed to be some kind of cap on skill and or stat levels tied in to the monster levels and where you are supposed to be in the game. Perhaps this is another bug in which the cap doesn't work and if you surpass it (them), it screws up your chance to hit?
