A really noobish question.

How do I multi-class a character?
It is mentioned only once in the user guide I have but only in passing. There are no direct instructions on how to do it.
I get to the class selection screen and try to assign multiple classes but no dice...pardon the pun.

Any idea what I am doin wrong?

Blump, it seems you're used to the Baldur's Gate style of classing. But in 3rd edition multiclass dont exist anymore - only what you would call dual class in BG. You can choose up to three classes, with a few penalties, every time you level up, one class each level up. For example: you can have a level one fighter, level one thief level three mage. Or a level three fighter dualed to a cleric. So you wont be able to create multiclass characters when you start playing - only afterwards, when leveling up. Yes this is frustrating for those used to 2nd edition rules - but 3rd edition rules are more flexible.
