Dual wielding and Shields

I was wondering if shield can be used with any and all weapon combinations.
I mean, I can still use a shield with a Heavy weapon, right?

Can I still use a shield while dual wielding two medium weapons?

Can I dual wield a heavy weapon and a medium weapon, provided I've the required "Medium Dual Wield" skill?

So, actually, can I *really* use a twohanded Heavy weapon on one hand, a medium weapon on the other and *still* wield a shield? Or did I misunderstood, and so Shield skill with dual wield is useless?

Thank you in advance for the answers.

You *can* use a shield with all weapon combinations but you cannot use heavy weapons and dual wield.

gotta do some guild mission to upgrade your chracter from a base class to a specialized class that has dual weild. like mage can upgrade to uhh battlemage or fighter to lord

I've tried it, yes you can double wield and still use the shield. You can also use a 2handed weapon and a shield. You can *always* use a shield.
You can also use a heavy weapon and double wield a light weapon, but you need Medium Dual wield from what I've read so far. With light double wield it seems you can only use light weapons on off-hand (some of them, not all, like kriss but not elven swords), and anything else non-heavy on the other hand.

yep! i'll have to retract my words about not being able to use a heavy weapon and dual wielding but having medium dual wield isn't required since my hatamoto character is able to dual wield a heavy weapon and another light weapon but he doesn't have medium dual wield skill. i think the trick to being able to dual wield with a heavy weapon is to have the heavy weapon skill high enough for the heavy weapon in question.

as an example, the dark runeblade that the succubus drops in the tomb of souls which is a heavy weapon and i can wield without any penalties and i can dual wield it too. i also have the barbed runeblade that i get a penalty with and i can't dual wield it.
