Since I start This.
I play as a Female Elf on the game.
why? it comes back from the Baldur´s Gate, when I found out that Sarevok was a Human male, I decide to play his oposite. A female elf.

Drakron Du´Dark,
I usually play as a female because I always tried to get M/F interaction happenning in the P&P games and the players (usually male) would ALWAYS have male characters. It is 'fantasy' role playing after all and a challenge is a good thing.... - Curdis (A male undead hunter/male straight bard/female barbarian/female kensai-mage/female fighter-cleric-mage; some of different names).

I am glad to see, that some people feel secure in their masculinity

Hey! Just cause I play a male character in BG2, doesn't mean I don't dress up on weekends, and pick up Sailors! Uhh.... Whoops... I don't think I should've.... I gotta go!...

Though I play both male and female PCs in RPGs and really care for them, I seem to have bad luck with females. Played 2 in Shadowrun, one got blown away (along with other PCs) the other got both legs amputated (so she's no longer a ShadowRUNNNER

). Played a female in Ravenloft, first got her breast eaten away by some nasty creature and then turned into a vampire.
In BG1 only males (Elf thief/mage, Elf fighter/mage, Dwarf cleric) last two of them imported to BG2. Now in BG2 a female after all (Human berzerk->thief) and she's a real killer, kills everything on sight...but that's what the berzerk is all about I guess.

First two games as a male, but now I play a female character.
I'm just too curious what the drows in underdark offer to a female character.
I always liked to see all sides

So far I have 2 real player characters that I use in various games.
One is a human female, Cleric. She gives me most fun and satisfaction, since her character is relatively close to my own.
The other one is a human male, Rogue. In BG 2 this turns into a Fighter/Thief. He lives his life for himself, and really lives from day to day. A scoundrel, but with his heart in the right place.

I play as Female, just because I am a woman and it's easier for me to play a female. There are 2 problems, though: I hate Anomen, and my character enjoys shopping too much...

ROFL!!! ...aah so much to my shoe shop in Atkathla...<sniff>
my female Thief really hates her Boots Of Speed for clumsiness and lack of design, but the Boots Of The North...ahh these got style...

Not all girls enjoy shopping for shoes. I don't!! I will never ever have a collection like Imerda Malcos. But I do agree, those boots looks hideous! They should make in different colours, or at least in black.

I always play a male because I'm a male. But perhaps in a replay I'll play a female, after I've gone through with Viconia and Jaheira. But I'll always have a place in my heart for poor Aerie... and I'll magick your asses yet Kerra and Weasel!
