Runestone(s) question

Two questions actually - first, how do the runestones work? I have several runestones that I bought from various vendors. They don't seem to "do" anything however. The manual says that I need to mix runestones together to make spells, but I don't see a way to do that? For example, when I click on a nether reagent, a mixer screen comes up that I can use to "mix" them into a spell object. But the rune stones just ask me if I want to drop them or cancel?

Also, is there a list of what the various crystals do? Some are self explanatory, like the crystal of time, life, and health. But what about the crystal of peace? And I just found one the other day called the crystal of sun-ray or something like that. Is there a list somewhere of what is available, and what they do?

Thanks!

If there is a way of making Runespells oneself, I haven't figured out how to myself.

What I do know is, that in order to use a Runespell, you need enough of the Manastones (the ones you probably bought with names like Aenir, etc). They deliver the "power" for the Runespells.

In other words (but I am not certain) in theory it should be possible to only buy a Runespell once but cast it as often as you have enough mana for it from the other stones.

I will try it and let you know.

So those stones are like "batteries" then? I wasn't sure why I would want over another? I do have one item in my runes that appears differently, and it appears to be a runespell as opposed to a rune. I forget how I came across it however.

You can know for sure that they are different because the will be situated next to your Celestial spells in your inventory in the non-magic section for some reason. The runespells are something you have to buy. You may be able to buy a few from the merchant in the Emperium (sp?) in Arindale. However, Greylok in his tower in the Northern Steppes sells many spells and lots of runes. Many other merchants will sell one or 2 runes, but no spells.

The point of the runes is to channel the divine power of the deities, thus creating the spells. And yes, runespells are actually not spells, since you are chanelling existing powers. Its a kind of New Age version of magic.

I'm personally not sold on this group of spells. For instance, I haven't found Rune Armor to work, it may or it may not, but it doesn't change the value of my stated armor rating. It only lasts for 2 minutes with 12 levels in Rune Magic. And the rune can be very expensive.

I'd love to hear others opinions on what spells are effective, which are not, other places where spells and runes can be found/bought, and whether or not the is worthwhile in general. And also, what if any connection the rune forges have to this magic and how they can be used in specific terms.

I have had great experiance with the Rune Armor It seems to help out in serious battles, I noticed it when fighting Dragons, Now the Divine Internetion.... I have used it at least 10 times and nothing seems to happen, as well as summon Giant.
The Time crystals Rock I use that and Baal's sword,Blood lust Potion, and Power potioon and was hitting for 70+ points of Damage.

The rune spell "Sanctuary" as been very usefull for me since it block all magic attack for the duration of the spell.

Also remember, in order to work some spell may require multiple stones since the mana for one stone is 100.

You MUST have the required level to cast Netherspells... all sumons have worked for me... just one spells don't work... (sufocating cloud) get a Trainer or use a program like "Art Money" to edit your advance points and test what spells are working or not... I've made my level up to 24 but couldn't use sufocating cloud... just try it... now i Have lvl 9 in nether spells and can cast summon deathlord :)

On rune spells, for me Grymlok only sold 4! And I haven't been able to find spells anywhere else. Its quite annoying since I build my dwarven fighter up to use run magic.

I am not sure if rune armor works for me or not. Perhaps a little experiment in the skuldoon arena could sort that out.
