Shadow Ruins, getting relic

The relic of power is guarded by a wizard that keeps reappearing after u place a crystal in the knights in each corner. Anyone know how many times this goes on as the wizard is very difficult to stop. Or is there a faster way, is he weakened by something in particular?

Where is the fourth rune? YI did the fire thing then the tower then jumped through the shadow gate on the platform but now can't find the fourth rune puzzle...
Teffass Oakenroot over 30 but under 50 and making tons of money....

Found it but now...
Found it by following the post about the never ending hallway with knights and monsters...but now I'm in a fire trap with pits you cant jump across and what look like platforms in the pits that need to be raised...no buttons, loose bricks, or levers...also two templar undead standing but not moving near the shadow gate in...how do I raise those platforms?

the right statue as u entered is the secret switch, and its timed. So, use use shift key, and the platform will be there for u to use to jump the remaining distance.

the room is a pentagram, u need to hurt him 4 times to put 5 stones in the 5 statues. each time u hurt him enough, he drops a stone and disappears. when u put a stone in the hands of a statue, another section of the pentagram is revealed and the mage attacks u again from the new section.
as soon as u put the last stone in the last statue's hand, u can get the relic. Do so, because u need to wield it to kill him.

Dornath was asking how to battle this guy with better results.
I'm also finding it very difficult. I have to use a healing potion about every 4 sec. I only have 120 of them. I hope its enough.
Anyone find a trick to this or is it damn hard no matter what?

its hard. I cast rune armor for extra protection. I someone suggest keeping his summoned monsters between u and him. U may want to summon creatures of your own. I also used a shield of 100% pro magic to protect me. dodging of course. only the relic can kill him.

I didn't use the relic to kill the wizard but did it with my Blade of Death sword.
