Help: First Level - Glitch?!

Post by Kool69 »

Okay well since this *is* on the first level I am not considering it anything spoilerific. If you consider info on the first level of the game spoilerific, stop reading now.

Situation:
After completing the droid part of the mission on Peragus Mining Station and viewing the cutscene where he is blasted from offscreen with a large energy blast, my screen goes black. I can open my inventory and other start button subscreens, I can even see that it looks like I am inside the hallway where the droid just died, but I am my main character. From there I have saved my game *note: while the screen was still black.* loaded, and now I can see. However once I leave that hallway (obviously my main character is *not* supposed to be there) it loads the next area and I become the droid with a red X over my player icon. I cannot move or use any items. Saving/reloading doesn't help. Also I started a new file, same outcome.

Questions:
1. Where should my character be after the cutscene with the droid dieing?
2. Any idea why this is happening? Corrupt game files?
3. Any suggestions on what I should do other than buying a new KotOR II disc?
4. Anything similiar happened to you?

Other things to note:
1. No access to xbox live so no updating, unless I could do it via computer somehow.

Thank you all who read and reply to this.

Never had that happen. That blows, man.

Once T3 is hit by the blast (in the cutscreen), you're supposed to go back to you and Atton standing by the communications terminal (where you talked to T3 in the first place).

Before you take it back, try deleting your file and starting over. This game has several bugs, including freezing from time to time (most often for me at the Dobo brothers' shops on Telos).

No luck, another file same problem... Thank you LucasArts!! Oh well. Looks like I am pretty much screwed over at this point. Thanks for replying and telling me where I am supposed to appear.

all i can suggest is that you have a faulty copy of the game.
She's got a smile that, it seems to me, reminds me of childhood memories, where everything is as fresh as the bright blue sky.

Why would his Dark Side Knitting Prowess be useful? :D

He could suggest suing, though...
