Where's Vartugg?

Finished Vartugg's quests. Put Vial on the alter and talked to messenger. Then went to the Tomb of Souls and bargained with the demon and got Vartugg's eye back. But when I went back to Skuldoon they said Vartugg was gone on business. Where did he go? I need to find him to finish the quest!

That happend to me as well today. I run around trying to finish some other stuff, like talking to Staroxia (which did´nt work by the way) and finishing the Warlock quest. I also went to Talendor with all of the relics I had. I only have one more to get now.
Then, after the trip to Talendor and finishing my Warlock quest, I could talk to Vartugg. Dont know what triggered it though, maybe both, maybe just Talendor.

Do you have to have all the other relics first. I've got all but one. I still need to goto the shadow ruins. Do I have to do that before I can talk to Vartugg?

You have to put the relics you got into the chamber of souls in talendor first, after that hes back in skulldoon... worked for me... gl

Skuldoon closed from south gate
I am in the same part of the game ...I have all 4 relics in place then made my way to Skuldoon from the Forbidden Lands Moongate to give Vartugg his eye back. The gate was closed and I wasn't able to enter. I mean, there was no option given to enact(shift key) the door open. I figure the north side is open but dread running all the way from Fargrove only to find out it is locked too then run all the way back or some other wild goose chase. Any thoughts?

Only the gate guards can open the southern / western gate. They patrol the area, and sometimes they get hung up on the walls, so they're not absolutely reliable. But if you hang around the gate, they'll usually show up. But if not, you'll have to take the long way.

Or you can jump the gate
If the gate's closed then jump the fence. Backflip up the wall next to a watch tower and then hop down the other side.

Sometimes both guards are stuck on the opposite side of the gate. If you get against the gate, they should "sense" you and open up.
