Hollywood Crashing!

ok the title sounds like a bad band or a disease...but anyway
In Hollywood, my game has started to crash like crazy. I installed the 1.2 patch. It crashes when I go to talk to the taxi driver, or a prostitute on the street. Help! I can't get anywhere....
