I have already read previous posts, so I know there is no particular answer other than to wait for "whats-her-face" to come down now that I have placed the vile of blood on the Unholy Arc.

However, during my wait, I have run around but not too far. I left Draedoth's Castle around 3 in the morning and somehow actually found the Arc.

During my wait (and I am still waiting) for her to come down from the trees, I decided to try something other than that which has already been suggested (i.e. wait and/or run around). I decided to see if I could climb the spikes to get closer to her, thinking this might entice her to come down if she didn't have so far to go. .... It's called "wishful thinking" and it hasn't worked to this point.
However, I did get a couple cool screenshots.

I hope you like them.

Well SnowTiger you should use the search option alittle more because there's already a thread that tells you how to get her down. And Here it is.

I do appreciate your help. Thank you.
However, as stated in my original post, I did conduct a search and found the example solutions.
I have tried all the solutions with acception of one being the ability to take the blood vile back so that I can re-place it on the Unholy Arc. For some reason, I am unable to take it back.
I have spent a game day at the Arc while running around killing everything and even went to the Campfire to the East (far southeastern trail in Vale of Ruin) and spent 2 days at the campfire (campfire advanced time) and then returned to the Arc (which wasn't so easy because I had difficulty finding it again. Plus I had to fight a pile of stuff including Trees and a Large Dragon.

Nothing I have done, including trying all suggestions at the other post, have brought Succubus down from the trees.
However, I am hopeful and continue to run around.
I have included another pic of me on a different spike at the arc.

PS. I surely would not want to upset anyone at this useful forum, especially not the site webmaster. Therefore, I do conduct searches each time I have a dilema (which seems to be often in this game).

I don't think waiting will do you any good. So far as I know, once the messenger gets stuck, that's it. It's never coming down. You have to save your game before placing the vial, and then load until the messenger makes it. When I was doing this yesterday, the messenger made it down two times out of five tries.

Btw, I couldn't take the vial back either.

Nothing works regardless of what others say but you can do something to pass the time while waiting for the v1.2 patch....I've had fun. Stripped my character all the way down to his BVD's and did the hokey pokey. It's fun trying to dodge ninja knives...HEY THEY DON"T GO THERE...ouch watch out though if they hit his groin or azz it takes massive hp from him. Oh but the Twisted Sister witch now she's kinky....she binds me up with her vines and throws this gaseous vapor at me and I'm in lala land weeeeeeee.........but those fire drakes....ouch that hurt ouch that hurt ouch that hurt....3rd degree blisters and I died fast but I just start it all over again.......no sense in complaining have fun while you can til the patch comes out.

Taking the vial back only works, if the succubus was getting down. After that it will fly away and you can take the vial again (that works until you talk to it).
My suggestion is to load to a savegame just before placing the vial. For me it worked with standing and the NE of the altar, facing NE. pressing "shift" and running to NE until I reached the mountain. Then I saw this thing coming down (and that in not a minute).
My first try made it stuck as well. Tried to "free" it with some magic spells like fireball, but it didn't work. So reoad and try some more.

That did it for me with the Unholy Arc

I've tried everything that everyone suggested about having the Succubus come down from the sky but Hellman did mention to face Northeast place the vial and run northeast till you reach the mountain and that's what did it for me to meet the Messenger. Don't face northwest. YOU ROCK HELLMAN Thanks!!!

I am sure that I can still go around on a general killing spree. Surely if I leave the area completely, new enemies will show up. As of late, I saw 2 trees in a 12 hour (game time) period.
I will figure something out. For that matter, I have 3 or 4 other quests that have yet to be completed (like fighting some oriental martial artist that I have yet to find near Lake Dread.
Maybe if I get a few other things finished, the succubus may then come down. I can always check since the Moon Bridge is not far from this area.
