Am I Hooped??

Well i just realized after trying to return to Farfrove (after doing the first relic quest) that i never talked to the Lady in the Inn before i left the first time, and i cannot seem to get back into the city? I cant seem to find the "sewer enterence", to get back in.. what can i do? I really dong wanna restart teh game because of one mistake like this.. I mean i got into the city once..
