problem with Aran's Tasks

i've jsut entered chapter 3, went to Aran to get first task which had to do with Mook at the docks, i go there, he gets whacked, i attack Lassel, go back to Shadow Thieve's Guild and attacked right when i walk in for some reason. i can't even fight cause the npc kill in 1 hit every char i have, my quest log shows that i done the Mook task and need to speak with Aran. i also was able to get past the 1 hit insta kill npc by casting emotion and went to Aran he was also hostile, whgat do i do????

Do you have a save from right before Mook?
Go back and check to make sure that the thieves are still nonhostile. It's entirely possible, if you cast an area effect spell, that you hit a shadow thief and turned them all against you...though that is quite odd.

Welcome to the forums
There is the first option of casting an area effect spell. Also, if you steal from the thief and get caught, they will also hate you so make sure that you didn't do that. Either, you need an old save.
