starting spells and armor

anbody have a good idea for a starting mage i have 270 magica and im schooled in desc. i also need a place where some good items may be found for a light armor person please respond please and thank you!

If you want to kill with your spells it may be nice to have some levitate potions or spell, you'll stay out of range of most hostiles.
If you have tribunal you can use the same killing techniques when you're interrupted in your sleep by assasins, they have some of the better lightarmor + some nice weapons.
