Automapping and RPGs

Hello--I realize the M key does not work in this game. While I'm enjoying playing it, the world map is pretty useless when you are in towns such as Fargrove, or in the Theatre area, etc. Is there no automapping feature as so many other RPGs have? If not, does anyone know if there will be a download to include such a feature?
On another note, I really enjoy RPGs, but not the online type such as Everquest or Dark Ages. I have played the Morrowind games. Can anyone recommend another game of this sort--I enjoy the single character type play (as in the original Ultima games).
Thanks very much for any and all help!

If you use Google, you will find several Maps of Fargrove and other sections of Dungeon Lords.
As for other games you may want to try "Sacred" and "Beyond Divinity" although in neither one you play from a first person perspective. Good games though.
Or, get some of the excellent Mods for Morrowind and loose yourself there
that's where I usually return to whilst waiting for
Oblivion.

Beyond Divinity sucks....btw devine divinity is prolly what u want to start out with anyway. If youre looking for any good RPG's they are usually riddled with developers mistakes as is they wanted to just throw a plot in and be done with it. It really is sad they havent came out with a "Rifts" RPG....if u know what Rifts is than better for ya. Basically its a Out of book RPG like D&D. I mean they did it to Vampire the MAsc. Imagine; waling around in a Glitterboy powerarmor and then BOOM stuff dies and blows up and yeah well the game is cool out of the book to.
Beyond Divinity s*cks
Hey! Is that really necessary?!?
devine divinity is prolly what u want to start out with anyway.
Completely agree - I couldn't ever get into Beyond Divinity, but absolutely loved Divine Divinity.
As for AutoMap, as I understand it the '1.2 patch' has been delayed largely to include the AutoMap rather than making it wait for 1.3.
As for other 1st/3rd person games, there are the Wizardry games which are party-based first person. Then the 3rd person games in the isometric style (ala Diablo) are abundant. And don't forget Gothic I/II.

I'm playing Sacred Underworld right now as a Daemon, and loving it.
Another RPG I really liked was Wizardry 8. You play with a party, plenty of action, lots of quests, good storyline. In the beginning the game is rather harsh. By that I mean some of the enemies you encounter are very tough for the beginning of a game. Once you reach the first town they seem to balance out better.

Sure; brag about Underworld, still waiting for it here in Alaska, US. We seem to last for everything, especially fruit and veggies. Divine Divinity, stupid name, good game, very buggy thought and I couldn't get into beyond divinity either. Played it for about four hour and uninstalled it. Morrowind, best RPG ever in my opinion.
