My game started out really great. My char is level 42, 100 in long blade, acrobatics, athletics etc. after doing a bunch of faction quests, and rising to the head of the fighters guild, i decided to start the main quest. I did that one mission at the beginning, where you have to find the dwarven puzzle box. I completed that and got the notes for caius cosades, but then, I sort of wandered off the quest ... somewhere along the line, I dropped or sold the notes for cosades and can't continue the main quest without it. I'm screwed. Im playing Xbox GOTY version, so i cant use the console commands...

Is there anyway I can find it without scouring the entire game for it???

Nope I'm sorry, but you could continue with doing guild quests instead of the main quest...

If you find yourself unable to continue the mainquest from were you were there is another way to complete the main quest.
