watchers keep items

Post by reddkey »

I was playing my protagonist barbarian with a bastard sword mastery prof. and only entered the first level of the Watchers Keep to aquire the +3 bastard sword there. I took brother Pols ritual scroll and the holy symbol back to my Keep and stored them in a chest by the forge.

They disappeared!!!!

Now I can't get back in the keep.

I have shadowkeeper and am looking to put the items back in my inventory but I don't know what they would be listed under. Can anyone help me or tell me why the items I placed in that chest disappeared?

PLOT01A Ritual Scroll
PLOT01B Vigil Stone

My guess is that the items did not disappear from the chest you put them in. Did you put them in the chest before Nalia gave you the Keep? If so, then that explains everything. The Keep has two different sets of maps. One set of maps (AR1300, AR1302, AR1303, and AR1301) represents the Keep while the troll invasion is underway, and the other set of maps (AR1304, AR1306, AR1307, and AR1305) represents the Keep after you have taken over it and it has been cleaned up. (You'll notice that the rubble is gone, the impaled servants are buried, and the dogs are sleeping peacefully in their new kennels, among other things. They're not moveable objects; they're artwork, so that's why the maps are new.) Use the following CLUAConsole code to go to the original area with the forge and see if your items are still there:

CLUAConsole:MoveToArea("AR1302")

A similar situation occurs when you acquire the cabin in Umar Hills. Merella's cabin is replaced by "your" cabin (full of presents and a thank-you note from the people of Imnesvale, as opposed to Merella's blood and her belongings).

EDIT: krunchyfrogg, reddkey said he put the items needed to enter Watcher's Keep inside a chest next to the "forge" in his "Keep". I thought he was referring to the Fighter/Barbarian stronghold (De'Arnise Keep) and the forge where you can reassemble the Flail of Ages.

VD: Watcher's Keep, not De'Arnise. Good luck, btw.

Vondo, you were right, the items were there, can't really explain it, but there you are. Thanks, I would never have looked again. lol
