Has anyone else here heard about this kid? Look at this:

That's a pic of a little kid!
Here is the homepage:

He has been on the television here in the US off and on for a while, and I am just really disturbed by it. The whole situation (his minor celebrity, the public fascination, etc) is really strange to me. I'm no Doctor, and as far as I know CE is the closest thing here, but it can't be healthy for a kid to be an exercise freak at such a young age, right? *ugh* not good times

Well, it depends on his "workouts". Running around and toning up would be good for him. Weightlifting and body building constantly, I'm not sure about that.

The whole thing just seems so weird! I wonder if he actually has (had?) a childhood. If he's been exercising and promoting himself since he was eight, when did he find time to do kid stuff, like eat ice cream and stuff.

Yeah, I never had a "childhood" like most people have. Mine was running from 16 year olds wanting to beat me and shoot at me for kicks until I was 10 and then sleep deprivation from then on. It wasn't fun, it would have been nice having a few years to "play". Suppose that's why I'm determined to do it now.
If he's decided on his own to do this, he could really be enjoying it you know? There's people that enjoy stranger things out there.

Hmmmm... I really don't think the Kid look healthy at all. Now, I myself am no dector, but my mom is a nurse, so I learned a few things. that kid just doesn't really look right to me. Where does he show up on t.v?

I agree. He looks severely mis proportion, and mal-developed in some of the photos, even dis regarding the muscle formation. I suppose small blessings can be counted for the fact that he does martial arts, which should counteract the fact that heavy (set, not weight-wise) weightlifting can severely shorten muscles.

I actually realized that a second after I posted, but I couldn't figure out how to change the thread title to the above "Whaat?!?!". Sorry Xandax, my bad. If you can make the change (or tell me how to do it) let's make it happen.
Edit- Thanks for the change Xandax!
@DZ- I didn't actually see him on TV, but a friend of mine has. I think it's on cable channels and pseudo-news shows, entertainment-type stuff.

@Giles, I did martial Arts as a kid, and I never got to look like that. I worked out dailey, never smoked, drank or drink any Soda, whatsoever. That kid has to be doing Steriods or something.
@Chuch, well, the next time you see your friend, can you ask him where he saw him?

That wasn't the point I was making. Heavy workouts can severely contract you muscles, so they have greater power, but far shorter range. (There was a time when Arnold Schwarzerneger (sp?) couldn't touch is own shoulder, his range of movement was so small.) The point I made, was martial arts, should stretch his muscles regularly, thus counterbalance this.

@DZ
I'll ask him, sure. I don't see him too often though, so don't hold your breath. (sorry)
@DZ, Giles
Giles is actually on point. Weight training is also proven (reputed?) to stunt growth in children- the frame and physical structure of a growing individual can't handle the stress that weight lifting causes.

Sorry, I missread. The kid doesn't seem like he has a lot on his mind. Think of what a day in his life would be.

I can't imagine. He must be effectively brainwashed at this point. I imagine that all he knows is exercise. Maybe he was born to be that way-if Beethoven and Motzart had music, there can be a prodigy for anything I guess. However, I can't believe he ever really had a choice about whether or not he should do this...

Yeah, if he didn't have a choice, let alone any say, he could easily beat them senceless.

Yeah, he is a ripped little kid, isn't he! The site does say he is the strongest human in the world, pound for pound. I don't really know what that actually means, but it sounds impressive.

It means, that he would get the higest score if you divided maximum lift/body mass. I.e he's got the higest bodymass: lift ratio
