Well, I'll get right to the the point.
I whant to play BG2 again after about 4 years. :) Should be a nice feeling to bash irenicus head again. Cause thats as far I got last time. ^_^ This time I will finnish what I started!

The problem is my party:
PC - Alecsander
NPC - Minsc
NPC - Jaheira
NPC - Edwin
NPC - Nalia, Cernd or someone else. :P
NPC - First Yoshimo then Imoen.

Do you see the problem?

Minsc and Edwin.
Do they really leave the party later in the game and kill each other.
Then I will cry... :(
I love them both..

Is it possible to have them in the same party without they killing eachother?

Please help!

Oh, this is my PC atributes: I rolled 53 with a druid! *happy* :D

True Neutral - Does this affect party moral?

STR 13
DEX 15
CON 14
INT 15
WIS 17
CHA 18

I think CHA affects party moral, doesnt it?

No, but it does affect some quests, however you can get other characters to substitute in with no worries.

As for the original problem, there is a mod called 'happy party' or something like that. I can't quite think of it at the moment, but it should be in the BG2 crossroads thread.

If you install that you will have no problems whatsover.

Good luck with the druid.

Two other npc's who have trouble being nice to eachother are Keldorn and Viconia (Keldorn being a racist and Viccy just being, uh, Viccy). If you keep your reputation not too high and not too low they won't attack eachother most of the time.
I suppose the same strategy will work for Minsc and Edwin and since you're playing a neutral pc there'll be no trouble roleplayingwise.

However...

Although Korgan and Aerie don't actually fight, Aerie leaves the party if Korgan is in there regardless of reputation. So I wouldn't want to count on reputation preventing Edwin and Minsc fighting, because you wouldn't want to lose them when it's too late to change.

If you install the mod, you can justify it roleplaying wise. When you look at your character, he has 18 charisma, so just say that he is persuasive enough to keep both of them happy. ;) It's worth a try.

Happy party mod

Does happy party mod only prevent fighting between party-members, or does it nulify all the "negative" dialouges between the party-members to?

It gets rid of people leaving/killing. So Edwin and Minsc will still yell at each other, but no fight for them.

GAH! The problem is choice!

Well, I still don't know... Ok, if I have to chose then.

NOTE: My PC is a plain druid.

In BG1:
Is Minsc or Edwin most important?

Personally I find both of the characters amusing and fun to have.
The funniest and most entertaining personalities in the game.
I find Minsc as a life-saver in both BG1 and BG2, mostly because back then my PC was a plain mage. Now I'm a druid.

I find Edwin to be the most destructive spell using killing machine in both games.

They are both very good characters with very fun personalities.

Yet, which other 4 party members should I chose if I'm a druid IN "BG1"?

My idea for party:
Alecsander: Druid
Imoen
Edwin or Minsc :(
Jaheira
Khalid
Kivan or Ajantis if I chose Edwin and Dynaheir or Garrick if I chose Minsc.

Suggestions?
