After visiting the prince at the completion of the Hell at the Hotel Hallowbrook, Beckett does not appear after shouting "wait". The game just stops there. I can still view my surroundings using the mouse but other than that, I can't move and do anything esle plus Beckett is no where to be seen. Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

You've run through the zone too fast. Go back to a save game, and move down that street *slower*. Like move a few inches and then stop. Beckett will yell "wait" when you reach a specific area, and if you get too far past it, he won't show up.

I took one step at a time, but he still did not appear.

Then I would have to say you've got a bona-fide bug. I've missed Beckett by being too fast about half a dozen times, and just slowing down has always worked for me.
Anybody else have any ideas? I just ran out.

I had the same problem. I got to the street next to Strauss's house and Beckett said "wait". From here I couldn't move forwards or backwards, but could turn around. Beckett never appeared. I went back to the last saved game, and instead of going through the streets to the Last Resort, I went down the sewer next to Venture Tower, and came out by the underpass. I got to speak to Damsel, and completed all the subsequent quests without ever speaking to Beckett. I'm now trying to kill the sherriff. So far, missing this "conversation" hasn't stopped me continuing with the game.
