Hey all, in the empyrean temple all I can buy is the blessed spirit spell, I can only buy arcane from the guy in fargrove and he has very little, and the rune guy has only 4 spells. If someone knows what I missed or where I may find better magic, by all means, I need more spells , by the way Im a stargazer/knight and some other tier 1 classes.

Sadly quite a few of the arcane spells did not make it into the game. But even if there were many I still think it would be wise to focus on a few (higher level) spells.

In the game you will find plenty magic missile and fire burst spells. Higher level spells come at a price so you want to get as many of the same one as possible.

For me I picked blast nova which has worked wonders (does heaps of damage now that my arcane magic skill is at 30). For single encounters or encounters in small areas I use fireball. So far I have found very little enemies that are resistent to blast nova.

In the event that I do run into critters which are resistant (like the athena bashers, but they resist all magic damage) I am now saving for frost nova.

For better understanding your problem, let us know if you are REALLY using a V1.3 savegame?!
You say, you are a STARGAZER? Then it can´t be true that you only get Blessed Spirit in Empherian Temple. That´s REALLY bad. I have played 3 Races (Human, Elf and Thrall) and after placing the candle at Shrine of Celestial Light there were many spells available: Ward of Ice, Ward of Fire, Dispel Evil, Purify, Unpetrify and so on.
But, of course I never reached the Stargazer Class.... I would like to know, if the other spells like Breath of Air, Divine Grace, Regeneration and Divine Cure getting unlocked/available in higher classes or have to be found in chests.

To get better Magic Spells you have to follow your (magic)guildquests!
Good traders for mages are: Aleister at Fargrove, rhe Witch at north of Devils March and the Runemage Grymlok at the Northlands.
For celestrial spells visit the temples at Fargove and Arindale.

But take care about your skills! If you cast Blessed Spirit (level 7) and your celestial magic skill is on level 6 the spell will fail! You cast, nothing happens.

The guildquests are written in the walkthrough.

I have a problem with blessed spirit spell.
My character celestial skill is 12 and she is a level 12 adept/fighter/paladin/marauder/crusader elf female.
When she casts blessed spirit nothing happens!
I also found few celestial spells in Arindale, but I haven't checked Fargrove since I became a crusader.
Maybe these troubles come from the 1.0 french version i am playing with...
Can someone confirm me that prior to patches some clestial spells were broken or missing?
