How to disable movies?

I'm on Nar Shaddaa and have cleared out the Ebon Hawk, obtained the code and am now about to be intercepted by Goto. However, after the first clip where Goto's yacht comes after me, there comes no second clip. Instead screen goes black and the music keeps playing (the game is said to no longer be responding)... Anyone know what to do? Can I disable this movie? (I've tried to watch this movie directly from the starting menu as well with the same result).

The option could be in a configuration program or somewhere in the game menu. Failing that check for a .ini file that can be opened and edited. Sometimes there is a line such as 'DisableMovies=1' (or 0) and changing the number should have the correct effect.

Found it in the configuration, can't understand how I missed it... Now my game progresses again! Anyone knows what happens during that particular movie, though? Would be interesting to know.

all that happens is it shows u being docked with the ship... no gunfight or anything, u literally just stop and are hooked up, so u didn't miss anything

OK, apparently this is a continuous error: everytime a watch a movie, the screen will go black at the end and the music will keep playing. And I have to close the game through CTRL+ALT+DEL ("program not responding")... Is this a known error? Any solution? (At the moment, I watch the movie in question, close the game, disable the movies and continue playing from my last save just before the movie, then switch movies back on again before the next one, so I can see it once.)

I had this problem when I first installed the game. Couldn't get past the initial movie of the Ebon Hawk and into the GAME until I disabled the movies.

Finally, I re-installed both the game and my video drivers completely (ATI X600). That worked. You may want to check your drivers.

i think it's a prob with the ati drivers, there was a thread in the obsidian (or even biowareOo?) forums about it iirc.

if you have some spare time (and an ati card of course), you might want to try to reinstall some older catalyst version and see if the problem still occurs.

no guarantees though :>

besides, does watching the vid via main menu -> movies work?
