Can anyone chare his, by uploading it here:
DELETED
& then giving me the link please.
Or telling me how to get a skill1.cfg ?
Thanks in advance guys.
Here's the Hint, that i am talking about:
I've found your answer. Go to your Vampire/cfg/skill1.cfg there you'll find the following:
sk_plr_dmg_anaconda_round "8"
sk_npc_dmg_anaconda_round "2"
sk_max_anaconda_round "198" <--- Here is the line for max ammo
sk_plr_dmg_crossbow_bolt "8"
sk_npc_dmg_crossbow_bolt "2"
sk_max_crossbow_bolt "36" <--- Here is the line for max ammo
sk_plr_dmg_glock_17c_round "8"
sk_npc_dmg_glock_17c_round "2"
sk_max_glock_17c_round "360" <--- Here is the line for max ammo
... etc.
I don't know if it matters or not, but it's probably a good idea to keep the max ammo a multiple of the clip capacity.
Furio, I've deleted the address you wanted people to send you info. If you'd like help, we want it placed here, in the forum, for all to see and use.

Irrelevant, at best. To get the Skill1.cfg, you have to unpack the packed files. Even if you put a Skill1.cfg in there, it will still use the version from the packed files until you unpack them. Browse the forum - there are a number of threads on how to go about doing this.

what?, i don't quite follow you here, unpack the pack, what is this... which pack file are you talking about? & where is it...
It clearly says, that it supposed to be in the cfg folder, look at the quote.
& i've searched the forum about that & nada.
So, a little bit of help, would be appreciated.

Furio, unless I'm mistaken, you're asking for the answers to a question. If that's the case, we want those answers put in the forum, instead of sent to another location.
Is this wrong? Am I misunderstanding what he wants?

I know that's what it clearly says. If you unpack the files, it will clearly be there, just as it says. It's not the first time somebody posted a tip and forgot a critical piece of additional information, like it's not there by default.
Try googling for VPKTool.exe, and find an English site. It'll explain things.

Yes you are all the answer will be here do you understand do you know what a upload is?
Coze you don't seems to know what a upload is. the guys will take their skill1.cfg , then upload it at [removed], then they will get a link to the file call skill1.cfg , then this link to download the skill1.cfg will be provided here on this topic at gamebanshee , do you understand now, its quite simple , everyone including you will have the file availbe to download, ok , do you understand?

Bad move. You don't anger the Mods in a hissy fit. They ask that the solution be posted and you demand that it be uploaded? To wherever? You don't get to do that. Sorry, dude, but you're not in charge.

Furio, you've yet to state one good reason why the information you request can't be posted on our board, for all to use. One more attempt to post un upload site where you want those answers sent instead of here will get this thread locked. And as yrthwyndandfyre points out, your last post isn't helping you. I suggest you read the
forum rules. Follow them; that's required, here. Putting on an attitude with any member isn't allowed on GameBanshee, and could cause you to lose your posting privileges. Fair warning.

Whoa, people I think we have a slight misunderstanding here.
Now I'm not completely sure what a skill1.cfg is but as far as I can tell Furio wants this file and info about it.
I believe he is asking that info about it is posted here on the forum and that in order for him to get the actual file you have to upload it to this "conditionzero".
As far as I can tell this isn't against any gamebanshee-rules
(Ofcourse I could also be completely mistaking)

I think I see your point, Melchaih, though I'm not sure yet whether Furio wants info posted as well as a file upload. Nor am I sure why he requires the file upload. As yrthwyndandfyre pointed out, Furio already has the file he seeks. It's simply archived at the moment. So he needs to unpack that archive to get what he wants.
Still, if he wants the file sent to him, and he already has the game, I'll have no problem in allowing the link if he wants to put it back.
But the attitude can't return.

And Furio, watch out for the files you get. Be sure to check everything for possible viruses. When you ask for files these days, there are sure to be trolls out there who are perfectly willing to supply you with the kinds of files you don't need or want.

Thanks Melchiah, maybe i wasn't expessing my self clearly.
Fable, i did have an attitude coze, i almost lost my temp coze you didn't understand me but, like i said in post#3 on this thread, i know that your a very good mod coze, we have talked a lot on the Kotor1 & 2 forum before so, accept my apology.
lol don't worry, i'll check for viruse before openning any thing send to me.
Last but not least, which pack do i unpack to get this skill1.cfg & before you ask yes i' ve use the seach tool to seek that information.

I don't know precisely which packed file you have to unpack. There are quite a few. Look in "<drive>:\Program Files\Activision\Vampire - Bloodlines\Vampire" and seek out all files with a ".VPK" extension in that folder and all sub-folders. They're all packed files. It's been awhile since I unpacked them, but I think by default that tool unpacks them all. Once that's done, your Skill1.CFG will be where it's supposed to be. Fair warning: I have no idea what the ramifications are of modifying that file, so if you plan to tweak, make a backup first.
PS: I just checked - there are 13 packed files in various places - it wouldn't hurt to back them up, too.
