Lucas tied everything together and I thought he got all of it but he did. In Return of the Jedi Luke was talking to Leia if she knew her real mother. Leia said yes and she remembered she was always sad or something around those lines. In the movie Padame died and Leia never even saw her mom and was brought to Sentor Organa and his wife. So either Lucas forgot to put that in or Leia see's her mom through the force?

Exactly, leia never knew her mother, she died almost right after she was born. I noticed the same thing. And no, by what I can infer, she didn't feel her through the force. There are lots of other major mistakes that GL made, just look around a bit.

Well, one theory why Leia remembers Padme and Luke does not, is because when Obi-Wan showed Leia and Luke to Padme, Leia's eyes were open and she looked at her mother, while Luke's were closed and he was asleep in Obi-Wan's arms.
If you ask me that is stupid, but it's as good a theory as any other.

Yes it is entirly stupid, but a good theroy. Really, when your an infant, the part of your brain that conserves your memory hasen't developed yet. So you can't remember crap until your about 6 years old.

Until you are six years old? Surely you can already be able to remember a few things before that. Personally, I have some memories from when I was probably 3 or 4 years old, and I'm very positive that I didn't got those from old pictures.
Though I do agree that the theory that Leia remembers her mother only because she saw her as an infant, is rather stupid; just a few hours old is too young to remember something like that.

Well, there are many of thiose errors, what about the one in ep 4 where obi wan calls Darth Vader just Darth
"You can't win Darth"
That would be correct if Darth was his first name, something we all know is wrong since darth is a title, much like Lord..

yeah, I think you start to remember stuff around 3 or 4, because I still remember this one dream that I had when I was about that age.
But anyways, maybe Organa showed Leia a picture of her mother? It's possible that he had a picture or something of Padme, and gave it to Leia.

Maybe R2D2 showed Leia a holographic recording of Padme. That's exactly the kind of connection I'd expect from George Lucas.
The thing that really bugs me is that when Darth Vader was unmasked in Episode, uh, 6, he was played by a 78-year-old actor, Sebastian Shaw (9 years older than Sir Alec Guinness), when Anakin was only supposed to be 45. I really can't tell what Lucas is thinking sometimes.

The driods had a memeroy wipe at the end of ROTS supposedly, but as for the thing on memory development, I'm not to sure when it begins, my first thought was about 5 or 6.

Leia is talking about her step mom. Her step mom died when she was a little girl or so that's what I thought when I saw the RotJ. I was listening carefully to see if either of them said anything about Leia's real mom or if leia even knew she was adobted, but it just seems like she was talking about her step mom and it was never confirmed if she knew she was adopted like Luke.

Actually the order was given only for C-3PO so it's possible that R2D2 never got his memory wipe.

If you accept the theory that Palpatine's look from end of movie come from intensive use of Dark side of the Force, and that he used very powerfull form of Force Illusion to hide his looks from Jedi and everybody else, a Illusion that failed during his fight with Mace revealing his true appearance, then you may contribute Anakin's look in RotJ with 20+ years of intensive use of Dark side of the Force which kept him alive (I mean he managed to live several hours badly burnt before Emperor find him, and now he cannot live several minutes without his helmet

).

Well, then why didn't obi wan tell the Republic to use R2, he was there on the lava planet (I can't think of the name right now) So, R2 should be of great help if his momory didn't get wipped.

Why Obi-Wan? Bail Organa got those droids, he knew their story, and he give them to Captain Antilles ordering memory wipe for C-3PO, but not for R2D2.
For me bigger question is why Obi-Wan didn't recognize the droids when they met again in Ep IV?

Beacuse obi wan was there when he fought Vader for the very fist time. And I guess for your question, He didn't want to hint that Vader was lukes father at the time. Beacsue he knew both Anakin and Vader, I could explain a bit more if you want.

Unfortunately, any real continuity in the Star Wars story is impossible to create when referring to Lucas' first three films (IV, V, and VI), and the latter three films (I, II, and III). It's obvious that Lucas only had sketchy outlines of the story preceding his first Star Wars film, and that the passage of time and money concerns influenced the development of the "prequels". Some of the premises of Lucas' story has great potential - after all, the corrupt Galactic Republic and rise of the Empire borrows from ancient Roman history - but otherwise, it seems to fall short on attention to detail and consistent character development. It's telling that some of the best efforts within the Star Wars milieu has been accomplished by other creative minds, albeit with Lucas' blessing, of course. There is where holes have been filled in...but unfortunately Lucas isn't up to the task he created for himself by going out of chronological order, and allowing too much time, and other projects, to intervene in the meantime. Sad.

My first memory was when i was 3 years old, at a beach. Unless the force helped her, Leia would never be able to remember her mother
Also, Padmè was in a lot of pain when she gave birth, leia said to luke that she was beutiful, but she was crying and her face was screwed up, how could leia say she looked beutiful

Tastes differ, or maybe she was reffering to inner beauty, use of the force does allow some emotional scanning.
Many people are born different from what is considered normal, maybe the strong presence in Leia allowed her to memorize images at an age others do not.

I don't remember anything when I was a baby but I remember things with I was 4 or 5 things that no one else remembers. But leia remembering her mom when she was born is really stupid. But she most likely remembers because she is really strong in the force.

So in other words, the Force is really stupid.
