crafting armor

Post by bariumdose »

I can't find the thread that talked about this, but I heard that there's a bug in crafting magic armor. Was it crafting for Spell Resistance or for Silent Moves that was bugged?

If I recall, neither of these things works properly.

There's another bug that lets you get free plusses to the elven chain and any magic shields (and some other pieces like Lareth's breastplate). Select them and they'll have the +3 shaded even if it's not +3. Click create anyway, and they'll be +3. Get all the elven chains to +8/+4 instantly. Nice. (But cheating, really).

Rusty armor

Thanks, Lord Plothos, for the heads up on the armor bug. Too bad - I could use some spell resistant armor. Also, thanks for letting me know about the bug on the elven chain. Not sure if I'll craft elven chain for a cheat - it's doing a good job protecting me as is.

No problem. If you really want spell resistance, you could use the console to give yourself senshock's robes, which I think are spell resistant. It'll go over your armor, but you'll look all red, black, and spiky. :)

If you want it, just got to the console and type

give 6219

Worried about cheating? Do the crafting to put spell resistance on your armor, and get the money and xp taken away for nothing. Then, getting these robes is just repairing the glitch.
