a question: is the planar sphere unabled to be opened if you give valygar's body to the cowled wizards???

Unfortunately,yes

However,you can use Valygar's body to open the planar sphere before giving it to the Cowled Wizards (I tried this without ToB and it works

)

True. Valygars body, alive or dead, will do the trick. If you hand him over to the cowled wizards you forgo that quest....
