How does it work? DOES it work? I have like 50 in Speechcraft and never once have I been able to accomplish anything with taunt or intimidate, it always fails. When taunting, is a failed taunt a negative thing, I suppose it should be but the do get angry, or irritated rather. What's suppose to happen? And can you intimidate people in to "liking" you?
Most of the time I just bribe people with to get lower prices and information(which they usually dont have!)

Taunts are used to get the NPC to attack you.

After a few succesful taunts you can get people to attack you. It takes a relatively high speechcraft and personality, and it's usefulness is limited. However, if you taunt people and goad them into attacking you, you can kill them without getting into trouble with the law. I've used it once in the main quest and a few times when working for the Morag Tong.

If its someone you "really" want to kill, bribe their disposition up with gold. Then taunt until they have 0 disposition, then rinse and repeat, you get any bribe gold from the body after they are dead.

Intimidation, if succesful will cause a temporary strong disposition rise in the NPC, but soon it will fall to lower than it was before
