Hi all. I just finished the task of exploding the warehouse...After speaking with Bentram, I went back to my Haven...I recieved the e-mail from LaCroix for the vile of blood...Do I do that quest first? Because in the walkthrough it mentions going to the Ventrue Tower to tell LaCroix of the warehouse explosion...Where is the Tower, anyway???
Thanks.

I don't think it matter what order you do those quests in. Though, personally, I try and do all the Santa Monica quests prior to leaving the area. To get to LaCroix's Ventrue tower you need to take a taxi cab to the downtown area. The taxi cab in Santa Monica is near the diner. You can talk to the driver and he'll offer to drive you somewhere.

like said above, you dont have to do it right then, but it gives you reason to enter the hospital and you'll have more exp. points afterwards and possibly more things to do...also, you're in santa monica anyways, so might as well complete it...
as for the tower, it can be reached by taking the taxi to the downtown area. the entrance is right across from where the taxi is...i think.. there should be two tall statue things on each side of the door...

Yes it is across the taxi - but ironically you're not standing where the taxi is the first time you leave Santa Monica
You just have to run straight ahead to reach a bus stop (with a map) and behind it the tower and the taxi (the first one always easily locateable with the help of the maps at the bus stops).

VenTURE tower, VenTURE.
The Sabbat might have gotten wind of his location and blown him up years and years and years ago if he was living in Ventrue tower, he he he.

No, you're wrong.
Its Ventrue.
Just check your game, your handbook or
http://www.gamebanshee.com/vampirebloodlines/clans.php or
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ventrue !
I know exactly, because in the beginning I also always said "Venture" and people corrected me...

Actually, if you've saved a game inside the tower, and you look at your save game listing, it's referred to as the "Venture" tower, and I don't care how many times you've been corrected by whomever. People in general tend to get dyslexic when confronted with things like a "Ventrue" in the "Venture" tower, and commonly transpose the two characters it takes to make one word into the other. It is the "Venture Tower" containing one overly emotional "Ventrue" who giggles in totally inappropriate situations.
The original assessment was correct. If it was the "Ventrue Tower", then even the pathetic shovelheads of the Sabbat would have figured out where Lacriox was long ago, and about 30% of the population of LA would be asking themselves, "What the heck is a 'ventrue'?" which would *have* to be a masquerade violation.

It is indeed "Vent
ure Tower". It is written so in every text within the game. Otherwise, it would definitely be Masquerade Violation, i agree.
Interesting thing is that almost nobody noticed it, it is spelled "Vent
rue" in three walkthroughs I've downloaded from gamefaqs, and in almost every post here. It seems there were confused people in the game production too, because although in the subtitle is spelled "Vent
ure", I think the guy on the TV news also pronounced it "Vent
rue" when reporting the bombing attack.
Mass dyslexia?

Ooops.
I checked my dict and indeed "venture" is an english word
![Eek!](./images/smilies/)
... I didn't realized that, it wasn't part of my passive vocabulary set.
Well, then it makes sense.

Personally, I think the developers would be quite happy that people are mixing "Venture" and "Ventrue" up. It was, in all probablity, their intention to use the tower as an example of LaCroix's ostentatiousness. He's arrogant and not horribly subtle by nature. By virtue of this, he chose a word similar to his clan name to make a large statement to the Kindred of the city that he was there and "in charge." I imagine any Sabbat with half an IQ point has long known where LaCroix was in the city. Though, it's normally not too difficult for the Sabbat to determine the location of the prince. Generally, this is fairly well known information among a city's Kindred. However, perhaps, it's because of this arrogance that LaCroix lasted only a short time in L.A.
As far as a "Masquerade" violation, it probably wouldn't qualify. If he had called the building "First Hall of the Camarilla", that in itself wouldn't constitute a Masquerade violation. To constitute a violation, it would require more supernatural feats. The unsuspecting public has no idea what phrases such as "Ventrue" actually mean.

Well, the pun was most certainly intentional

I belive it's also a common, but not offical, game term for most Ventrue bases of operations. In just about every game I've run/played in, the Ventrue Primogen's sky scrapers or penthouse apartments or whatever have inevitably been called "The Ventrue Tower" or "Ventrue Headquaters" by the players out of ease. Sure, Prince Lodin of Chicago made his primary court in the Seers Tower, but we always just called it "Ventrue Tower" so we all knew instantly what we were talking about.
Then, many years latter, in a Live Action vampire game I helped run, Adeliades own Santos budiling had several floors rented out by Clan Ventrue for use in clan meetings, Primogen meetings, Court, Elyisum and other things... In the end, everyone just called The Santos Building... You guessed it... "Ventrue Tower".
In the Jyhad: The Eternal Struggle (Since renamed Vampire: The Eternal Struggle... For fairly obvious reasons) each clan had a card that was their clan terf that gave them a great deal of influence to own... The Ventrue one was a giant tower called "Ventrue Headquaters". It just seems to be how people link Ventrue...
Ventrue = Giant Phalic Glass and Steel Buildings Filled With Paperwork.
