This forum is to be used for discussion of Bethesda's yet unannounced, and tentatively named, Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.

I think this is obviously incorrect.

It's been announced. For starters how would you get the name 'Oblivion' otherwise?

Thanks, I've fixed the description. I actually created the forum a few weeks before the game was announced, and at that point the "Oblivion" title was only a rumor (one that turned out to be true, fortunately).

I'm not familiar with the history of TES but I believe that speculations about a TES game named Oblivion had already been around since Daggerfall. In any case, before the game was officially announced, there were many signs that pointed to TES4 being called Oblivion.

Well - no need to debate that in this forum now that the issue with the forum description has been corrected
