After watching ROTS I got into SW a bit and wanted a game to play. kotor was the only one in my head and a friend of mine had kotor2. so I took it from him, and played 2 before 1 now that Im after the levithan I realise just how dumb that was kotor 2's plot line would have been much much easier to understand and follow if I would play kotor1 first. But one good twist that I got from it was that in 2 Malak and Revan are always mentioned as 2 of the greatest jedi/sith that existed and now to find out that I am Revan is just $$$$. It's also finally clear why I had the choice at the begining of 2 to choose weather Revan was a male or female (which really bothered me going through 2). I am really surprised of how good 1's plot line is....But I may have to play 2 again

As most of the people that played both game will tell you, plotline in KotoR is much more complete (and some would even say better) than the one you get in KotoR II. If you check this forums you'll find many threads complaining about the ending of KotoR II.
