I have gotten the Argalian Armour and I killed the Fathien guy and when I try to get out the door is closed and it won't open. Can someone tell me if this is a bug or am I missing something?

It's a bug. My guess is you loaded your game during the fight. That messes things up. Hopefully you have a save you can go back to.
