I was at EB today looking at games, and was pointing out bloodlines to a friend I was with, and couldn't help but notice one of the screenshots on the back of the box.
The shot was in one of the clubs, and the character in question is some woman (well endowed, of course) who was wearing a cowboy hat, and you are talking to her about returning a pearl to her? I don't remember this quest at all, or this NPC... anyone?

no pearl quest & cowgirl = female malk player character
As was mentioned above there is no pearl quest, probably taken out before the release of the game... or it was filler for a "nice" looking game shot for the back cover of the box... those darn marketing folks.
Also, in case you are wondering, the cowgirl is the female Malk wearing the first set of armor you get in Downtown LA. And in my opinion the BEST looking armor you get for any of the characters... ahhh, running in 3rd person was very nice.
