I don't think that this was posted anywhere, but I just wanted to share that the name of the ship, Elizabeth Dane, was a reference to John Carpenter's The Fog (1980).

This film is also being redone, and is in post-production (you might even have seen some trailers for it, or a poster at your local theatre).

The reference isn't only the name of the vessel, but also the fact that it came up on shore off the california coast with the crew missing.

That's actually pretty interesting. The game is full of pop culture and, particularly, horror movie references. The writers were fairly clever, and pretty true to the White Wolf genre, in mixing those things in.
