Help-activating stone sewer golem

I recently retrieved the activating stone in chapter one. I returned to the room with the stone sewer golem, but I got stuck in that I don't know how to activate the sewer golem so that he will give me permission to enter the sewers. I click on the creature but all it says that it is to busy for dialogue. How do I activate this creature so I can enter the sewer?
