Can anyone tell me how to change a character portrait mid-game. I am playing a misc module and found a better portrait.

I don't think it's possible .
Unless you export the character and go back in. For example: in the NWN Campaign export when you start a new chapter, start that chapter with your pre-generated character, edit their properties and then play the game.

You may be able to do the same thing in any module, just export char from the module you're playing, save and exit, then start a lan game, load the module, and select the char file version of the char, it will say something like a version exists in game, and it may allow you to edit the char. Not really sure, as I have never tried it, but it has worked when doing this on a random basis.
