Which is best?

Which sword is best Shadowsting or Eltonbrand?
Best for what? Damage? Speed? Weight versus damage? Slaying guards? Selling? Using with a shield?
Edit - From a Roleplaying perspective, you can use any of them, or both. Or use a steel flameskewer, or just a common long sword...
