Wizard Slayers and Healings

Sorry if this was covered but I've searched through a good bit of the posting and have not seen this.

Does anyone know of other ways to get Wizard Slayers healed while adventuring other than having another character cast spells on him or sleeping? It really bites that he can not use potions since potions are logically made by clerics not mages and would not pose and ethics problem. And who says its magic anyway?, it could be a powerful herb mixture, or a gift from the god's like Ambrosia. Is there some fruit you can buy or find somewhere? Any quick help is appreciated since I don't want to go too far in the game only to discover that I am at a severe disadvantage. Thanks

1) Use the 2-handed weapon Chaos blade, gotten in the Prison. If you wear full plate and use this, you can actually go a very long time before resting. It heals you one HP per hit.

2) Use the longsword found in the Planar Prison. it does the same thing, heals 1 HP per hit.

3) Use innate abilities like vampiric touch on yourself

4) read scrolls of restoration. I know, it's dumb but if you intelligence is above 13 or so, you can read them. They heal you totally.

5) Later in TOB use the sword that casts the Minor Drain on each hit; also the axe with regeneration. By then you should be unstoppable.

Thank you oh wise one, on a related note:
is there a ring or sword or cloak (oh my)(like with Charisma) early in the game, or anywhere for that matter, that will raise anyone's intelligence. I'm only at 10 and I found out later that there are a few areas in the game were higher intelligence(13-15) would be very helpful.

wizard slayers have been fixed so as to allow healing potions

Use potions of genius for mindflayers, since int 0 will kill you, and in watchers keep is machine of lum the mad, which will raise any stat you choose, use the gb faq!!!
and gold ioun stone which raises int by 1 after killing demogorgy, tho.

Funny, coz I got my dwarven wizard slayer to use potions. Also I got him to use the Boots of speed (but it has to be not identified, hence in the blue background). ;)

No cheating was involved here, as I find it really strange for my w.s. to be able to use potions - not unless potions do not necessarily mean magical but some super-healing natural herb concoction or something...

With the ToB patch, your able to use potions as a Wizard Slayer. For the boots, I guess if he don't know what they are, he can use them.

Re: potions - you must have TOB installed.
Re: boots - WS just can use them, no matter if they are identified or not. Did you try to put on other unidentified items of "prohibited" kind? I bet it did not let you. Another item WS can use (well, not really use, but at least put on) is the monks' gauntlets. My WS was wearing them for the rest of the game since I thought it was a good idea to have his hands protected - you know so much sword wielding :D

Intelligence... With WS you better get all your stats good enough from the very beginning, with maybe one exception - strength, for there are a few weapons improving it.

The only way to improve inteligenceI can think of is visiting Watcher's Keep.
