Game not working

Sorry if this has been posted before but DL doesn't even work for me and I have a pretty high-end system, any ideas why? It just opens up and I see a window then it closes itself out...I tried updating to the latest version and still no luck...
PC Specs:
Windows XP w/SP2
P4 3.06Ghz
1GB DDR RAM
more than enough HD space
integrated intel video card (sucks I know but plays everything except FEAR in full resolution with all vid options on)
