Bodhi's Heart

Is there anything you can do with Bodhi's heart (except maybe play soccer with it)? I've tried taking it to temples but get no response and I don't get anything for taking it to the government building to the guy who take's Neb's head. (He really did deserve to get his head cut off the bast!@#) I know that you can take Yoshi's heart to Ilmater for some real nice experience points, but that's about it. :D

Thah heart has use only if your beloved has been turned to vampire. Obviously you are not in love with anybody in your party.

Not true, I just never had anyone "Turn" on me. I usually cast negative plane protection on my party members whenever I enter the "Buffy" zone. Interesting though. Thanks for your reply.

SPOILER again :D
Something is not quite right with your romance - it might be not far enough or already broken.

If conditions are met:
1)Even prot.from undead does not help,
2)it is not a level drain,
3)Bodhi greets you at the entrance of the area, not of the lair,
4)she takes your romance object with her and you have to kill the newmade vampire together with Bodhi;
5) you have no choice to prevent Bodhi to do it, you can - and must - act only post factum.
If you use multiromance patch and romance both Arie and Jaheira, Bodhi always prefers Arie.
BTW, have you been in the Shade Lord's area?

It might very well be as you say, but I completed the Shade Lord's area first before going into Bodhi's lair. I did get greeted by Bodhi both times (once for trying to get me to join her and the other time before I killed her telling me to stop or else). I have successfully after a very, very long engagement completed Jaheira's romance (whew!) and received her Harper's pin. It's very odd as I have played SOA five times and have never come across this. It may very well be that I have a "bug" in the system and due to this things did not turn out as you entailed. Good to know, but I'm not complaining. I have since went on to TOB and the romance is still engaged you might say. The toughest and longest thing I have ever done is this romance as it took me longer than all the other quests combined. Thank you for your input because without that I would have never known. Good hunting.

The romance has to have concluded for Bodhi to take your party member.

One more thing on romances, they dont work if your char is a dwarf. They're probably to darn ugly. *strokes his beard*
Does anyone know if there's a patch that corrects this?

You can either use the Starting Romance patch or the Multi Romance patch to get the romance going - by only using the file for the NPC that you want to romance. Obviously, if you use the Multi Romance file, you won't have to worry about making the right choices and so on; normal romance conditions still apply if you use the Starting Romance file. Both can be found at my site, in the BGII Patch section, link is in my signature.

Well I initiated a new game, new character, elven fighter/magic user/thief and made sure the romance was complete prior to meeting up with Bodhi for the last time. Sure enough bad, bad, Bodhi grabbed her and turned her. The game did not give enough hints to let you know you have to go to the Shade Lord's dungeon and drop both Bodhi's heart and your sweety into a hole behind the Amauntor letter puzzle. Well it worked and Aerie is a happy camper. :)

Well, it seems you did not pay attention to mentioning of the Temple of Oghama (sp?) In difference with most of other quests there are only hints, not plain instruction ... IMO, this and Emphatic Manfestation are most true quest things in game (almost as in old good times  ).

Not true, I went to Oghma's temple after I spoke with Elhan's wizard and they told me absolutely nothing.

Well, there are 2 persons in temple to speak with. Then again, there isn't any plain instruction, only hints. You should get the name of Amaunator, the hint about a region books have been got from and a hint about possible cure in books. The rest is up to you to guess...
