can't place Valdane's blood

I've got a problem. Last time I visited the naga-temple in order to get the relic and free Valdane. Now that I've visited Vartugg again I got the quest to place Valdane's blood on the unholy arc. Though I have it in my inventory, nothing happens when I try to place it. Loading a previous savegame won't help either, that's why I'm seeking help now.

Are you sure you're at the right place (at the southern edge of the Vale of Ruin)?

I'm definitely at the right place. Checked it again with the walkthrough but the result stays the same.

Not to upset someone in a bad spot with dumb questions but when you say nothing happens do you mean the vail doesn't appear on the arc or do you mean the vail appears on the arc and then nothing happens. If the vail appears on the arc and then nothing happens then the succubus my be stuck in a tree or something or you may not be waiting long enough. Look up in the sky to the northwest. It can take what seems like a very long time for her to get down and even after patch 1.3 she can still get stuck. D

the vail won't be placed, it's still in my inventory. I know about the other bug, but it's not that (yet).

How did you try to place the blood on the altar?

I tried it with pressing the shift key with default keyboard settings.

I have the same issue. I am at the unholy arc & I cannot place Valdane's blood. It doesn't do anything, it just stays in my inventory. So right now I am stuck...

I had the same problem. I finally figured out that I had to go back to Skuldoon and talk with Vartugg(?) again and get a "quest" to get back his eye... and to do that I needed to put the vial of blood on the altar... after this, the vial went on the altar just fine! Hope that helps...
