Spoiler: highlight below:

At some point when you rest Dark Brotherhood assasins will attack you. Once that happens, follow the suggestions that pop up in your journal :)

Spoiler.... kinda
Are you sure it was level 6? I didn't get my attack until 9..... but anyways, mournhold is probably as sweet all those people say. I recomend the Great Bazaar: it's excellent.

I belive to get to mournhold <spoiler!>You must be a minimum of lvl 6 and than you will be attacked by a dark brotherhood punisher.Than go talk to any guard and they will direct you to apellius matius <spelling> (he can be found ebonheart )He Will direct you to Some lady in the grand council chamber then she will say i offer transport to mournhold. I hope that helps :D :D

Yes, It can happen any time after level 6, but depending on how high your level is, if you dont report to a guard right after the first attack, you can be attacked up to 12 times in a row, once after every time you rest. I rested just outside where you get the ice armor on solthisem, so it looked real funny...

spoiler spoiler spoiler!!!!Well not entirely correct there isn't really a limit to the # of times you are attacked just dont report it.Because then you can get there weapons heck i have 38 from the d brotherhood. But iyts a good way to make money especially on low lvls like lvl6 + get as many as you want then sell them at mournhold. ;)

Wait never mind, I did answer it but not on gamebanshee itself, on aim to a gamebanshee guy... anyway i'll do it again.
SPOILERS

When your character reaches levels 5-8 and you rest somewhere, you are attacked while resting by an enemy titled Dark Brotherhood assasin. He's a fairly tough fight if your level is on the lower end of the range I just mentioned, but you should be able to beat him (you can loot a very nice set of light armor from his corpse). After this has happpened, talk to any random guard in a city or village about the 'Dark Brotherhood', and he'll tell you that they're some real badasses and that you should talk to a Captain (who's name I forget) of the Imperial Legion in Ebonheart. Go there and you'll find him stationed either on the ramparts or ground level (he moves around) of the large keep there (outside, though, not inside the keep) directly in front of, and connected to, the bridge that leads to the Duke's chambers.

Talk to the captain and he'll tell you to seek out a mage in the Duke's council chambers (once again I don't know the name, sorry). Go across the bridge I just mentioned and speak to the mage in the council chambers. She'll tell you she can transport you to the mainland and Mournhold in order to hunt down the Dark Brotherhood. Say you'd like to go and you're instantly transported halfway across the world (you can do this at any time; there's a mage there that can transport you back). You can come and go as you please; it's a cool place and I'd recommend trying out the museum there, as it gives you a ton of stuff to do.

Hope this helps :p

The sewers may be tough but well worth it considering that every thug has that assassin(sp) armor and you can grab alot since its light...keep a pair for you since its nice to have early in the game and sell the rest to get some spending money.

try this

i have never tryed this but i was told if you are strong enough and you can get hit a lot by the Dark Brootherhood guy with out being killed. Run from him until you get to a town, a guard will help you and he will transport you to some where you can find out more.
