*possible spoiler(s)*

I tried a forum search and could'nt find this, so here goes...

My main char. is the frontline fighter and was getting rocked hard because the armor sucks in irene's dungeon and his starting level is 7. when his hp's were down to about 3, I equiped the chaos sword from the genie and went back to the cage room and beat on the jailkeep golem all day without any counter attack.the hits did no damage but my health increased.then i had minsc bash him to.I know you get tons of potions or could just rest but this saves potions u could use later or sell. and sleeping for 8 hours on floor of somebody's sadistic torture workshop really doesnt sound realistic.

Wow, that makes absolutely no sense does it?

The golem is immune to +2 weaponry and still you're getting 1HP from each succesful though non-damaging strike.

Imoen's 'belt' is probably the most ridiculous item in Chapter 1. Stops her from dying and multiple other effects. I've heard there are ways to remove it and that it's probably one of the more powerful items in the game.

I had some trouble with the golem aswell...
Try giving the quarterstaff +1 to Jaheira. She killed the golem easily.

Imoen shouldn't die in Chapter 1, she teleports away to safety.

As for the golems, the Jailkeep Golem should not attack, later on 2 Lesser Clay Golems attack you after entering a room in the Dungeon. Those can be hit by any weapons.

I think it still requires blunt weapons to hit the clay golems, but if you mean they don't have to be magical, you are correct.

No, the lesser can be killed by anything. Just to prevent new players stop playing after getting bashed by golems they can't defeat.

Myself, I always bash those two golems in their room. I hate to wait for them to arrive in his mistress' room.

Realistic? Well, I always figure I have a lot of wrath to deal to anything I meet. I've been tortured for a long time, and even if I can't whoop my enemies sorry ass at that point of time, I would want to whoop something. :)
