Relic Boons... Anyone got an answer

Hello yall, got a question concerning the relics and putting them back in Talendor. When you first return the horn to Talendor, the Wizard image dude tells you to go get the rest, and bring them back. He also says that when you place a relic on it's alter that "the relic's boon will be passed on to you". I took this to mean that the magical properties of the relics would transfer to you when you put em on the alters.

Is that what is supposed to happen? is my question. Because if boons are the effects of the relic and boons are supposed to xfer to you, they currently aren't doing so.

I am at the point in the game now where i have all of the relics except the one from the king's daughter. I am supposed to go put em all on the alters so vartugg will come back to skuldoon an tell me how to get into the last dungeon. The only problem is, I Don't Wanna Give Up Tha Beefcake Relic Effects... Regeneration 2 from the robes, Spell Bounce Back from the shield, and the Protection from everything on the rod.

Anyone have an answer

You also recieve about 100k experience. The +3 to each of the attrribute is actually pretty good if toy have high stats. That can seriously save you some experiance later in the game. At some point, the stats start costing over 200K per point. so +3 points is the same as 600k+ experience for that one stat alone. And this is for all your stats, so in that case, you will be practically given several million free experience points worth of stats.

The rune spell 'anti-magic shield', when cast, makes any shield you carry work like relic shield. Grymlock sells it. D

heh, ya... i got all the runes an stuff... i just don't like casting a spell every 30 seconds to do what the shield can do whenever. an as for stat points ya... i hear that, but at 200k a pop for fire dragon kills i don't sweat xp much. go go fire ward an cold weaponry :p

I just placed my first relic and noticed that after my primary attributes when up three points none of my combat numbers when up with them as they usually do. I know is hard to raise parry after a certain point, but strike and damage also did not rise. I thought they would go up. Maybe I've got to the point where they won't rise that easily????
