What is the Tach Gland item for?
I am on the Kashyyyk planet (the one with the wookies) and just got 3 tach glands from some metal containers I broke open at the poachers camp that jolee sends you to destroy. all it says is that they can be changed into powerful stimulants. I couldn't find anything on the site. does anyone know what to do with them??

Well prior to tricking the troops into leaving (or killing them), you can actually take a job from the commander collecting tach glands and selling them (its dark side).
However, hold on to the tach glands anyway, because later in the game there is a quest that will require the tach glands. Highlight for more specific spoilers: You'll receive a quest from Mission's Brother Griff in Tantooine (after rescuing him), that will require the gland.

Basically, you get the mission to rescue Griff from Mission. You'll need to progress in the appropriate dialogues with her and then trigger certain encounters (which, as you probably know, are triggered in certain spots like the landing areas, if Mission is in your party). Eventually you'll learn more about Griff. At this point you can talk to the Czerka representative in Tantooine about his whereabouts.
After you rescue Griff (you can do so by force or with violence) from the Sand people, Griff will set up shop in Tantooine (he'll take a job with the merchant there). He'll eventually come up with a get rich quick scheme is can draw you into that requires Tach glands.
