Any hint for a solo Ranger/Cleric?

Soloing it will be harder to kill demogorgon. The Cleric/Ranger is very good combo, though, he may be able to do it. Now I guess you need more space, so you could *spoilers* try to take him outside. Perform a search on Demogorgon and you'll find out how to do it, the fact is that after a few days you can see him outside the WK, and then you'll be able to run easily form his summoned foes. *spoilers*

You'll need restoration scrolls (plenty). Cleric spells will help you, and summons are good too, but he will eventually finger of death them. If you're using arrows it might be a good idea to have packed up a few dispelling ones and some seriously strong ones (+3). (I cant really remember if the R/C can use bow and arrows). Boots of speed will be a must have. Wands may help too but he seems to have a very high resistance to wands magic too. Other than that I cant really help you...

Good luck!

Use brute force. Don't waste your time on his summons, only make shure to be protected from their special attacks (mariliths have a draining attack iirc). Go for Demogorgon himself asap, he'll only summon more demons if you give him the time. Hit him as hard as possible and have a Deva summoned that heals you and maybe some other summons that distract his mariliths.

I have tried to concentrate on him, but I could´t just give him a scratch!
He keeps attacking with implosion and I just can't do anything about it.
Which weapons can affect him? Staffs +5 didn´t work, nor Flail of Ages +4. Must I wait to get Flail of Ages +5?

Does he have spell protections active? Such as Protection from Magical Weapons or (improved) Mantle.

These will need to be dispelled first.

Not sure about the weapon enhancement required but he shouldn't be permanently immune to +4 weaponry AFAIK. He may just have a great AC, check to see if you're hitting him to no damage or not hitting him at all (through checking the to hit rolls- turned on in the options).

I'd guess that Vhailor's helmet is the most essential items here. It will not only give you more summons but an awesome tank (I'm guessing you're pretty strong as you're soloing) which can take the damage from the Implosions away from yourself.

So if you havn't that hemlet, you're in a bit of a problem. A protection from Magic-scroll would be nice to use as well, also keeping you away from Implosion's way.

I'm not sure what you should do against the spell protections though. What have you done against mages so far? Yep, Flail of Ages pierces a decent amount of damage through (10 when fully upgraded), but that'll not be enough for Demo.

But yes, just whirlwind him to death. He doesn't have that much of HP really, if you can just land a few criticals he'll be down before you know it.

How can I dispell them? I have no pierce magic, I guess.

It´s a fact I didn´t try it, but since I couldn´t even scratch him I doubt it will work...

should be a wand of spell breach upstairs.

a helm of simmy will allow you to summon multiple deva's at once... :D

There should be a few wands of Spell Breach in that keep, I know I sold what seemed like dozens of them.

If you can't scratch him you need to do something about it... What I meant was that you're in trouble if you dont have his helmet as it will allow your dublicate to focus on it enough time for you to do some serious damage to Demo. Otherwise you'll end up being the subject of an annoying Implosion spell :/

I know that I would've had problems if I didn't had my helm. 100% magic res didn't seem to affect his implosions, or I had forgot to reequip myself. ^^;

Still trying...
Breach wands are only for mages. I have no scrolls or potions that protect from magic. With standard weapons, the max I can hit is 3 with Blackblood. Using the ring of the ram I can hit 15/17, but only once (two with simulacrum). His magic resistance makes all my attacking spells ineffective...

What HLA's do you currently have?

Aura of FD, Elem. Summ., Energy Blades, Globe of Blades, Implosion, Storm of Vengeance, Summ. Deva.
Can I get scrolls or potions that protect from magic in ToB?

And what weapon proficiencies do you have?

There should be Protection From Magic scrolls available. The most likely place to get some would be from the mage in Saradush (or Amkethran if you can't get to Saradush).

There are also Magic resisting potions out there, but I'm not sure where they can be found.

Can a Ranger/Cleric even use the Wand of Spellstrike (Breach/Pierce Magic wand)?

Club, Flail, Mace, Staff, Sling, Two Handed Weapon, Single Weapon (2*), Two Weapon (3*)

OK, I can't of anything better than Helm of Vailor simulacrum (multiple Deva plus double use of ring of ram) against Demogorgon and some Elementals to keep the Mariliths at bay. You best weapon is likely FoA.

Which isn't such great advice, I know

Thanks anyway! :D
Ranger/Clerics can´t use wand of spellstrike :(
I´ll just go out to find some protection from magic and then return in glory
