error (no game whitout it)

The thing what I hate most games is back...the error! When I start Bg II and want to load my game, the game chrashes and gives this error:
An Assertion Failed in ChVidImage3d. cpp at Line number 1975
I've downloaded the latest patch so If somebody knows a solution, please tell me before I have to reinstall BgII
