I haven’t had the time to really look at the games, nor the teams, nor the players at all. Perhaps I’m throwing my money away, though, but I’m still participating in my office pool, with essentially random picks this week. Maybe I’ll luck out. Here are my picks.

New England Patriots
Denver Broncos
Carolina Panthers
Jacksonville Jaguars
Pittsburgh Steelers
Minnesota Vikings
Washington Redskins
Houston Texans
New York Jets
Cincinnati Bengals
San Diego Chargers
Detroit Lions
New York Giants
St. Louis Rams
Indianapolis Colts
Philadelphia Eagles

Thanks, HLD, for starting this thread.

And just for good measure, I am bringing back the second most demanded feature of anything involving me and football:

The High Lord's 100% Guarantee of the Week (Throwback Edition):

Kordell Stewart will not throw a single interception.

You know the world is out of whack when I am at the top of any football predictions list. Still, someone should check my math to make sure these results are right.

HLD 9-7 (56.25%)
The Z 9-7 (56.25%)
Gwalchmai 8-8 (50.00%)
ch85us2001 8-8 (50.00%)
Weasel 8-8 (50.00%)
Bloodstalker 5-11 (31.25%)

What happened, BS?

I think everyone whiffed on the Lions, 49ers, Saints and Dolphins but the only real explaination possible is "parity rules!"

Next week's games are:

Baltimore at Tennessee
Buffalo at Tampa Bay
Detroit at Chicago
Jacksonville at Indianapolis
Minnesota at Cincinnati
New England at Carolina
Pittsburgh at Houston
San Francisco at Philadelphia
Atlanta at Seattle
St. Louis at Arizona
Cleveland at Green Bay
Miami at N.Y. Jets
San Diego at Denver
Kansas City at Oakland
N.Y. Giants at New Orleans

By the way, is anyone keeping track of the people who are usually in this pool, but don't hang out here (Tybaltus, et al)? Gwalchmai? Anyone?

What do you mean what happened? It's much more glorious to give you all a head start and win from behind at the end of the season. This has been my plan every year, however, I never quite get to the part about coming from behind

Jwmblade went 7-9 and ty went 8-8 btw :D

I guess I could always go look up their picks, right?

The way this year is going, flipping a coin or getting out the Magic 8-Ball might be as good as anything. I'll post my picks in the morning.

If you haven't made your picks, now's the time.

Baltimore at Tennessee - Kordell Stewart signed on to back-up back-up Anthony Wright who will be starting in place of Kyle Boller (as if that's any comfort).

Buffalo at Tampa Bay

Detroit at Chicago - Someone has to win

Jacksonville at Indianapolis - It pains me to make this pick, but I don't think the Jags have it in them to stop Manning. I hope I'm wrong

Minnesota at Cincinnati - When in doubt, go with the home team

New England at Carolina - Still the defending world champs

Pittsburgh at Houston - Roethlisberger is listed as questionable. Houston still plays like an expansion team

San Francisco at Philadelphia - Philadelphia can't afford to start 0-2

Atlanta at Seattle - Holmgren needs to start working on his resume

St. Louis at Arizona - Big division game, the Rams need to not get away from the running game so quickly

Cleveland at Green Bay - They're still the Browns

Miami at N.Y. Jets - Last week was a fluke for the Fish

San Diego at Denver - Two division gams in the AFC West, my fantasy team needs more LT

Kansas City at Oakland - They're stil the Raiders

N.Y. Giants at New Orleans - The sentimental pick is the Saints, but the Giants are playing at home and they're coming off a big win last week (even if it was just Arizona).

Washington at Dallas - QB problems in DC means big plays from the Dallas D

Ravens over Titans- Baltimore may not pass at all, but why should they need to against Tenn?

Bills over TB- Bills D ain't the Vikings D, as Cadillac will find out.

Lions over Bears- Lions will be 2-0 in their division. Interesting.

Colts over Jags- Too much Manning.

Bengals over Vikings- Wasn't Minnesota supposed to have a better D this year?

Panthers over Pats- Carolina can't afford to start 0-2.

Steelers over Houston- Texans have everything in place offensivly- but they forgot to build an O-Line.

Eagles over Niner's- Niners ain't as good as they looked last week.

Falcons over Seahawks- Seahawks are so damned frustrating to deal with.

Cards over Rams- Hopeful pick. Hate Martz, like Warner.

Pack over Browns- See HLD's comment

Miami over Jets- Coles picked up where he left off in Washington: dropping balls. Defensive game, Miami wins. Miami is better than people give them credit for as long as they have a RB and can milk the clock.

Chargers over Broncos- LT vs a Broncos line lifted from Clevelands horrible run defense. All I need to see.

Raiders over Chiefs- Cheifs still need to prove last week wasn't a fluke defensivly. Raiders need to stop forcing the ball to Moss on every play.

Saints over Giants- The Duece is loose this year since no one trusts Brooks to throw the ball anymore.

Washington over Dallas- I just can't physically force myself to type out the opposite.
