lil help here?
wat are the exact requirements to join the theives guild?
ive been trying for ages suger lips always tells me <we have our standards Nord, and you do not meet them>
i thought id raised my theif based skills quite high... but maybe not high enough..
perhaps i killd the wrong person... but i dont think ive ever killd a theives guild person..

You might be missing abilities rather than skills. I don't think you are required to have any skills to join. You just need favourite skills for the thieves, which are agility and personality. I think you need minimum of 30 each.

Just ask her requirement. She, and probably other guild members should be able to tell you that before joining.

Are you playing on PC? If so do you have any mods installed?

I know Wakim's Game Improvements raises some of the requirements and there may be others that do also.

hmm 30? i think my lowest ability is willpower which is 35...

Also make sure you don't do anything that might work against the thievesguild.
Spoiler: a certain fighters guild quest does this, but this has been covered extensively so if you want to know, do a search on it .
