The abilities with which I started SoA disappeared when Irenicus took my soul - as normal. Later I got the ability to change to Slayer at will. Now into ToB, after defeating Joneleth in Hell of course, I expected to recover those abilities as I had recovered my soul. However, they are not available: the Special Abilities button only yields my spell sequencers, the Slayer Change, and the new Pocket Plane ability.

Additionally, one of the mods I have installed claims to offer new Bhaalspawn powers upon completion of the tests in the Pocket Plane. I have only completed the first one, and since rested, but no new abilities are available either.

Is this normal? Or is it a known issue with one of the mods?
I dont have that many: Ascenscion, Tactics, Oversight, Unfinished Business,Baldurdash, Ding0 Tweaks, Item Upgrade, Dungeon Begone. Oh and the Berserker Horn and Summons AI.

I believe Ascension gives abilities to Imoen (after the necessary dialogue).

I don't think you regain the abilities you get at the start of SoA, although the Slayer Change becomes more powerful IIRC.

The minor abilities you got from BG1 and played with for half of SoA with never return.

Imoen gets some minor abilities (and stat increases) in vanilla ToB but due to scripting errors she does not always get them- the Ease of Use mod addresses this.

The additional Bhaal powers are from a mod (put together by ex-Bioware supremo David Gaider I believe) and offer some even more powerful abilities than those you had before but you do not start getting them until the second challenge i.e. after defeating Yaga-Shura.
