Undead Hunter Help

Im thinking of soloing an Undead Hunter through the game, and I have some questions.
1. I have never managed to work up the courage to dump any of my party members, I would feel too guilty because I am a role player, and I like the romances and such. How do you solo by still saving Minsc and Jaheira at the beginning?
2. At what level do they get the priest spells?
3. If I make a party and heve Keldorn in it too, should I take the Carsomyr and give him the purifier(almost the same) ?
4. Do the Paladins get any powerful bolstering spells?
I chose to make one because I have always had a problem against undead(vampires, liches etc.) . I know they do +3 to hit and damage to them, and since the game is infested with them, I thought it would be a good choice, same for the immune to level drain save-my-arse-ability. I think it would be easier to beat somne of the most powerful characters like Kangaax much easier, as long as I have the carsomyr.
thanks

Well, hundead hunter is a quite good choice because of the reasons you named.
1. Save them, then boot them right after you have saved them. They will return to the surface immediatly. Do the same thing with Imoen : tell her you'll go unnoticed more easily if you all travel individualy.
2. You start gaining spells at early levels (not sure if it's lvl 8 or lvl9...).
3. Mmh... I wouldnt use 2 Paladins, but if you want Keldorn in your party, I would give him Carsomyr, and my PC dual-wielding Purifier and another weapon of another type (Hammers, Flails, Long Swords, Maces, etc.). There's plenty of choices!
4 . When you start getting lvl3 spells, Draw Upon Holy Might is pretty good! Also, Armor of Faith (lvl1) is very useful, since at higher level it can gives you up to 20% resistance to damages, wich is quite useful. For lvl2 spells, Slow Poison is probably your best bet... or you could go with Resist Fire/Cold.

Use imoen to unlock/remove trap from pic in room with basic gear in it first for the added exp plus items in it before you boot her, and do this before you rescue jaheira/minsc since they will take part exp.

Well I learned a few things while playing.
I am level 8 and I dont have spells yet so It must be level 9, but how high do the spells go?level 3?
My character has profincys with Two handed sword and halberd, so I would probably end up using the Mighty carsomyr and have keldorn get points in 2 weapon fighting and use the purifier and maybe the foebane
It sure is a luxury being able to kill undead without the risk of level drain

But hey it's your game do it your way.
@Berethor - The paladin has a maximum spell ability which is clearly documented in the manual, which I don't have handy right now so I can't tell you exactly. - Curdis !

I find that they are very strong classes, but they dont get priest spells as soon as I would like them, but no matter, as long as i get sunray i will rock the game!
I got keldorn who will eventually be using the purifier

If was to solo again, right now i'm a level 30 Undead Hunter in the underdark, i would have just installed SoA and not ToB, because the extra levels u get makes u to powerful, not even a challange to beat the game now. Can take any creature in SoA in a couple of blows and without getting any damgage done to me. So if u want a challange soloing, don't have ToB installed!!!

I keep trying to solo but I can never manage to dump my party members and my party is ALWAYS the same.
PC
Jaheira
Minsc
Yoshimo/Imoen
Aerie
Keldorn
I want to dump them but I am kind of a role player and I like doing peoples quests and havine romances, and I want to try soloing but I cant manage to dump them...
and what about people in the game that you cant hit because of protection from magical weapons and a bunch of other crap. what if you cant manage to hit them? what do you do?

Prot spells that powerful wear off fairly quickly, so just run out of the screen or just keep wailing on them until it starts to do damage, thats what I did with my fighter soloer.
EDIT: As long as you have good saves, the spells they cast while you cant hit them wont do too much to them.

What about that idiot, Kangaax? Will I even be able to hit him before he goes all imprisonment on me?
And firkraag and his dragon bretheren? They will surly pummel me into the ground before I can kill them. I need to kill Forkraag to get probably the most powerful weapon in the game, the Carsomyr.
And how will I complete the missions in hell? If I choose not to take the blackrazor, will I be able to kill the genie? And how do I get out of killing the dragon? Also how will I get the one from the beholder area without the cloak of bravery?
all of these i need answered plz

K, sorry, maybe not the not the most constructive reply. I'll give it another go.
Kangaxx: Wait with him until u get the Holy Avenger, and maybe a Deva or 2, then he should be a piece of cake, and the imprisment problem, just do a search on the forum and u'll get a lot of hits, i promise u
When it comes to the dragons, especially Fiirkaag, i waited rather long before i tried him, until i got my first ability, but i think u can take him on earlier, others maybe can share their thoughts on that subject. I took summon Deva, then i went to him, had a lot of healing potions with me (didn't have to use many of them, just 1 or 2), and did my thing. So to make a long story short, experiment and try different stuff. If u want to cheese, i know a easy way, but it's no fun. Let me know if u want it, or do another search, don't know if it exists on the forum...
And last about the Hell trials...don't know yet, but i'll be there in a day or two so i'll let u know by then.

Sorry for the slight outburst...
I will definatley look into the protection from imprisonment thing.
By holy avenger you mean Carsomyr right? That shouldnt be too hard to get, maybe a couple of reloads but no big deal. the only dragon I had problems with was Draconis when I was playing with a party because I am soloing now. First, when he was a monk, he did this time stop thing and bashed jaheira into a pulp, then he turned into a dragon and kept going invisible and summoning invisible stalkers. If it wasnt for keldorns true sight the battle would have taken forever.
Im having a problem with opening locked doors...
in the athkatla city gates inn, there is a secet door that leads to a lich, but i cant manage to force it open and im too lazy to go get Jan cuz i dont like yoshimo. any solutions?

Berethor, I have the ultimate undead hunter in my party right now, It's Aerie holding staff of magi while turning undead. I'm overloading the graphics card with all of the vampire chunks that are airborne. Even Hair Dallas can be THE undead hunter armed with the improved mace of disruptors, anyone can.

Just take the spell Draw upon holy might, that should boost ur strength to 21-24. It shouldn't be a problem to crack the door open then if u give it a try or two.

Yeah thats true, aerie was an undead hunter in mine too, but i want to tolo a REAL undead hunter.
and about the Draw upon holy might, I think i have to be like level 10 for it to rise enough
do you think i will even be able to hit the lich with that stupid talking sword?
im trying to save up for jorhils dagger but intul then i have to listen to the sword say that hobgoblins taste like chicken

Kangaxx needs +4, +5 (or +6) weapons.
Carsomyr is probably your best bet against Kangaax. Anyway, Firkraag is usually easier than the lich.

Im in the windspear hils and im planning to kill that stupid kidnapper.
any strategies for a solo undead hunter?
I was thinking of stocking up on + 2 arrows or arrows of piercing, luring him to the stair case, and just shooting him wile he cant attack me...
sound like a good idea?
also i was planning to use the trusty ring of the ram, after all, I never would have beat the troll that was holdint de'arnise hold without 10 reloads.
can i have some more strategies, im level 12 now using jorhils dagger

Grab some arrows of dispel from waukeems if you absolutely need to to dispel his stoneskin he casts for protection. That is, if youre not too far away by now. Besides that, shooting him + ring of ram and dragon gear you can acquire from his area to protect from fear etc. is all I can think of to kill him. Maybe some items that let you summon monsters?
