Runtime Error Problems

Lately I've been having a problem with IWD2. I can play fine until you kill that orc dude named Torak. After that I try to enter the cave and the game crashes with an error that says:
Microsoft visual C++ Runtime Library
Program: E:\Icewind Dale II\IWD2.exe
Abnormal Program Termination
This happens at that point and any point AFTER that too. It's rather annoying only being able to play a little bit of the game. I have tried playing with and without the patch. I have also tried reinstalling many, many times. However I have found a likely reason. If I try installing the full install it crashes because the following files won't copy off the CD:
ANMwdrg.bif
ANMwigt.bif
ANMwird.bif
These files can be found in the data folder on CD2. I posted this on http://www.planetbaldursgate.com. Someone nicely agreed to email me the files. However the files were too big for him to email. He told me that someone here might be able to help. If anyone has any advice or help, it would be greatly appreciated.
